Cardamom & Mimosa Natural Botanical Candle

Hand-poured into apothecary jars in our studio in the Heart of Scotland.

"Warm, ethereal and mesmerising..."

Not very Scottish this one of course, but this candle came into being as I was snowed in last January in the tiny cottage I was renting in Pitlochry. Those who know me know I live to travel and since many of us have not been able to do this for quite some time, I decided to bring the far East closer to home and this candle does exactly this. Within an hour of burning I am transported to back to my many adventures in Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos and Borneo; bathed in warm sunlight and the heady scent of their captivating native plant beings.

I am in instant bliss with each burn and I am confident you will be too after welcoming this magical plant spirit into your home.

With floral inspiration, this fragrance leads with hints of violet leaves, cardamom and a touch of cucumber. Mimosa and Muguet creates the heart of this fragrance, completed by a base of musks, vanilla, sandalwood and a firm favourite of the butterflies: heliotrope.

Plant Medicine:

Mimosa, or Silk Tree, is known as the "Tree of Happiness", and with good reason!

Mimosa has long been used in Traditional Chinese Medicine to resolve issues with stuck emotions such as depression, anxiety, moodiness and general frustration in life.

She bursts into blooming in early June in the northern hemisphere and continues to do so through the height of summer. She can also be found in the Mediterranean and the Canary Islands. Her lovely, fragrant yellow blossoms mirror expansion and abundance and are a good indicator of her medicine.

The spirit of mimosa is a subtle yet powerful medicine that can be called upon to dispel gloom and calm and uplift the spirit so that the heart can open to the beauty of life and feel gratitude for the present moment.

The sweet scent of mimosa exerts a stimulating effect on meditation. It can assist the opening of the crown chakra allowing union with the spiritual. The light of the spiritual world will enlighten our soul, in addition to the various etheric body levels. However, it will also take us to our light and our inner world allowing us to (re) perceive and accept all we area with gratitude.

Sizes and burn time:

Small 120g. Burn time: up to 25 hours

Medium: 180g. Burn time 35-40 hours

For an even burn pool, allow the candle to burn for 2-3 hours at a time.  After use, your amber glass jar can be re-used. If you look after your candle then you will notice the difference…a little love goes a long way.

Ingredients: Our blend is vegan friendly using rapeseed and coconut wax, infused with high quality fragrance oils and cotton wicks.

This candle will burn clean down the edges, with no wax or fragrance to spare. Providing you with at least 20 hours of room filling aromas.
