'Sacred Grove' Natural Botanical Candle

Hand-poured into apothecary jars in our studio in the Heart of Scotland.

Rich and earthy, this fragrance opens with rich, earthy fig tones and star anise blended with crisp green leaf and zesty citrus fruits. Coconut sweetens the tones of cedar and violet, that dry to reveal a cushion of oakmoss and tonka warmed by the cosy scent of amber.

Fig - Nurture

Fig trees represent our earthly nature as co-creators. As a keystone species, the fig awakens our collective memory of belonging to each other. It inspires us to share our creative energy and desires. Figs resemble a woman’s womb, signalling that now is a fertile time in our life.

Fig trees have inspired humanity for thousands of years. In ancient Egypt, ficus sycomorus was associated with the primordial earth mothers Hathor, Nut and Isis as the “Lady of the Sycomore” also known as the Tree of Life.

In India, Buddha achieved enlightenment sitting under a Bodhi tree, ficus religiosa.

In the Book of Deuteronomy, figs are one of seven sacred species along with wheat, barley, grapes, pomegranates, olives and dates/honey. Its presence is an indicator of the “Promised Land”.

Fig encourages us to look for new openings in life and to consciously co-create for the greater good. This is a time of increased creative energy and success. It may signal new beginnings in; relationships, career, marriage or even pregnancy. Now is a time to actively engage in restoring our health, our home and our environment. Look for partnerships or groups that bring harmony and inspiration that fuel the creative spirit and feed the mind, body and soul. Artistic pursuits are highly encouraged.

Sizes and burn time:

Small 120g. Burn time: up to 25 hours

Medium: 180g. Burn time 35-40 hours

For an even burn pool, allow the candle to burn for 2-3 hours at a time.  After use, your amber glass jar can be re-used. If you look after your candle then you will notice the difference…a little love goes a long way.

Ingredients: Our blend is vegan friendly using rapeseed and coconut wax, infused with high quality fragrance oils and cotton wicks.

This candle will burn clean down the edges, with no wax or fragrance to spare. Providing you with at least 20 hours of room filling aromas.
