'Dusk & Gold' Natural Candle

This scent has been 13 months in the making and one which I am extremely proud of. Dusk & Gold is for me, the ultimate sensuous, luxurious scent reminiscent of the many eye-wateringly beautiful, golden sunsets I enjoyed during my time living on the west coast of Skye; music playing, waves lapping, incense burning, heart full. 

The ultimate relaxing, restorative scent.

Top notes of grapefruit, lemon and rum leading into a heart of black lily, rose and geranium. A twist of pomegranate backed with herbs and spices lie on a luxurious base of black amber, cedarwood, sandalwood and patchouli.

Sizes and burn time:

Small 120g. Burn time: up to 25 hours

Medium: 180g. Burn time 35-40 hours

For an even burn pool, allow the candle to burn for 2-3 hours at a time. After use, your amber glass jar can be re-used. If you look after your candle then you will notice the difference…a little love goes a long way.

Our blend is vegan friendly using rapeseed and coconut wax, infused with high quality fragrance oils and cotton wicks.

This candle will burn clean down the edges, with no wax or fragrance to spare. Providing you with at least 20 hours of room filling aromas.

Rose Geranium

We are getting closer to the end of a Winter season and entering Spring with its energy of cheerful awakening, rejuvenation, and love, of course. Meet an incredible plant ally for this time – Rose Geranium. Its physical and energetic properties will keep your energy moving, shake up the lethargy, calm the anxiety, release emotions, encourage intimacy, and reconnect with the joy of life.

Planet of Venus rules the geranium plant… The exotic, floral, and slightly spicy aroma is reflected in its well-known aphrodisiac effect that related to its intrinsically sensual, liberating nature. Nourishing the feminine creativity and the still, receptive aspect of the Will, geranium oil is ideal for the workaholic perfectionist who has forgotten imagination, intuition, and sensory experience.

The Rose Geranium flower essence releases emotions. It has an association with the Water element in traditional Chinese Medicine, which carries emotions as memories in the fluids of our body tissues. The deva or spiritual intelligence of this plant acts as a sort of energetic deep tissue masseuse, clearing emotional complexes that distort the body’s cells and tissues. Each element has its emotional associations, and this potent plant can work with them all.

The water element is the one that is said to carry ancestral imprints – it is the “water of life” from fairy tales, the flow of the orders of love and life. Bert Hellinger spoke of this in his family constellation work which we wrote about in one of our recent blog posts. The association with water is also the water meridians – kidney and bladder (Winter Season), and the sacral chakra. Through the sacral chakra, there is an association with reproduction, DNA, and inherited emotional patterns of energy.
